80 percent of the road projects will be completed in 100 days of my administration-Ikpeazu

Abia State Governor,Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu said he was optimistic that at least 80 percent of the road projects  will be completed within the first 100 days of his government.

Ikpeazu gave the assurance while answering questions from newsmen after inspecting the progress of work on some road projects in Aba and Umuahia .
Ikpeazu said that his government will run on 100 day cycles to be able to take a retrospective view of its performance said the inspection visit was meant to find a mid mark.
According to him, his administration will roll out new policies on the maintenance of public facilities in the state to prevent the bastardization of public facilities, pointing out that the era of washing
cars on the roads is over in the state.
He disclosed that all the roads under construction will come with street lights and markings explaining that having light on the roads has an economic importance as it will help traders on night trading.
The governor said the emphasis on the roads in Aba was on drainage to ensure that they last and charged the contractors handling the project to hasten work so as to complete them in the next 50 days.
Among the roads inspected by the governor were Udeagbala Road, Omni,Umuojima, Kamalu, Old express and Ukaegbu Roads all in Aba as well as Agbama, Low cost, International conference centre Road and the Abam by Niger Street in Umuahia.
