Manchester United are set to follow up their interest in Paris
Saint-Germain striker, Edinson Cavani, by offering record signing Angel
Di Maria to the French champions in exchange.
The Uruguay international has been heavily linked with a move to the
Premier League this summer with both United and Arsenal known to be
showing an interest. With the striker often deployed in a wide position
to accommodate star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, it is said that Cavani
is keen on a move away from Paris.
According to the Express, United are hoping to use PSG’s interest in winger Di Maria to land the 28-year-old in a straight swap.
Manager Laurent Blanc has reportedly submitted a £40 million offer
for the man United signed just last summer, but the Premier League club
rate Di Maria at £50 million having forked out £59.7million to bring him
to Old Trafford from Real Madrid.
