Abdulsalami Abubakar Meets Buhari And Atiku

The National Peace Accord Committee NPC led by Abdusalami Abubakar already met with Muhammadu Buhariess less than 24 hours after meeting with Atiku Abubakar, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the presidential election.
The meeting with Buhari reportedly held at the Presidential Villa, Abuja over Atiku’s demands.The meeting started around 3pm at the President’s office, and shortly at the end of the meeting, Abdulsalami Abubakar told the media that he had presented Atiku’s demands to President Buhari.
In attendance at the meeting include a former head of state, Abdulsalami Abubakar, the bishop of Sokoto archdiocese of the Roman Catholic Church, Hassan Matthew Kukah, and Cardinal John Onaiyekan.
It was learnt that National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole, was also at the meeting.
Earlier, some members of the National Peace Committee (NPC) headed by Abdulsalami Abubakar, held a meeting with Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the PDP, Atiku Abubakar and his running mate, Peter Obi in Abuja, on Thursday, February 28.
The meeting which took place at the secretariat of the National Peace Committee (NPC) had in attendance Adulsalami Abubakar, the Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, Matthew Kukah, Cardinal John Onaiyekan, Rev. Fr. Atta Barkindo and other members of the committee.
Some senior members of Atiku’s campaign team reported to be at the meeting include Senate president Bukola Saraki, PDP chairman, Prince Uche Secondus, speaker, Yakubu Dogara and other PDP leaders.
At the meeting, PDP reportedly made the following demands:
*Unconstitutional deployment of the military which was in breach of a Supreme Court judgement.
*Malpractice between INEC officials, the ruling party and the military to undermine the votes/voters of the PDP.
* Collaboration between the federal government and INEC to undermine the sanctity of the votes of the people.
* The malpractices show that there was no improvement from 2015.
Abdulsalami and his team reportedly pleaded with Atiku to avoid anything that would jeopardize the peace of the nation.
