Real Reason Why EFCC Arrested Atiku’s Son-In-Law

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has broken its silence on the rumour that it arrested Alh. Babalele Abdullahi, the son-in-law of the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Abubakar Atiku.

The arrest of Babalele who doubles as Atiku’s companies’ Director Finance grabbed the headlines at the weekend with the former Vice President claiming the apprehension of his son-in-law was politically motivated.

However, it has emerged that the anti-graft agency arrested the suspect for money laundering.

According to a source in the commission: “Babalele is being investigated for money laundering to the tune of €150 million, and will have his day in the court soon.”
