Breaking: APC Endorses Lawan, Gbajabiamila, Omo-Agege For 9th Assembly

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole says the party has officially endorsed Ahmed Lawan, Femi Gbajabiamila and Ovie Omo-Agege to represent the party at the 9th Assembly.

Oshiomhole stated this on Monday while addressing journalists after meeting with the party leadership at the Sheraton Hotel, Abuja.  Recall that Lawan will run for the seat of the Senate Presidency while Omo-Agege and Gbajabiamila have been selected to run as his Deputy and Speaker of the House of Representatives.

The former Edo State governor, noted that the party’s decision was collective and that the three candidates would fly the flag of APC in Tuesday’s (tomorrow) election.He said that the party leaders and National Working Committee (NWC) meeting was to firm-up party’s position on the party candidates to the National Assembly leadership and Principal Officers.

In attendance at the meeting was APC Senators, Ifeanyin Ubah, APC Representative members and APC governors.
