Motorists plying the Abeokuta-Lagos highway were, on Thursday, stuck in traffic as pupils of United Comprehensive High School, Wasinmi in Ewekoro Local Government Area oOgun State barricaded the road.
The pupils were protesting the alleged killing of their colleague by a vehicle.
The pupil was said to have been killed while crossing the duallised road.
According to our source, the pupils, who trooped out in large numbers, were reportedly vandalising vehicles, causing motorists to avoid the area.
“I am returning to Abeokuta right now. There is no way we can pass through Wasinmi. The pupils are protesting the killing of one of them by a driver,” a source told our correspondent.
It was gathered that security agents are making efforts to restore normalcy.
