A 21-year-old 300-level student at the Department of Mass Communication in the University of Lagos (UNILAG), Chidinma Adaora Ojukwu, has recounted how she stabbed her lover, Super TV CEO, Mr Usifo Ataga, to death under the influence of drugs and alcohol in Lekki, Lagos.
Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu paraded the suspect at the state police command in Ikeja on Thursday where she gave a detailed account of what transpired that led to the death of her late lover.
She explained that “We have been in a romantic relationship for about four months. We were smoking in a lodge apartment. He made advances towards me and I resisted because I was too tired but he wouldn’t want to hear any of that.
"Consequently, he turned violent and strangled me on my neck, so I gave up. I let him have his way. Later in the afternoon, he ordered roofies. We took it together and ate food. He became high.
“Meanwhile, I was still not happy with the sex he forcefully had with me in the morning, so, I withdrew from him. I kept a distance from him, smoking and drinking. It was when I was high that I stabbed him twice on his neck and later in his stomach for forcefully having his way with me.”
