2023: Buni, Badaru, Bagudu, Bankole Meet Ladoja In Ibadan

National caretaker chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who is also the governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala-Buni; the governor of Jigawa State, Abubakar Badaru; his counterpart in Kebbi State, Atiku Bagudu and the former Speaker House of Representatives, Honourable Dimeji Bankole on Sunday met with the former governor of Oyo State, Senator Rashidi Ladoja at his Bodija, Ibadan residence.

Though the motive behind the meeting, which was held behind closed doors could not be ascertained, a source informed our correspondent that it might not be unconnected to the 2023 general elections.

However, another source hinted that the meeting was part of the deft moves to woo Ladoja into the fold of the APC before the 2023 elections.

Other top brass of the APC in the meeting on the side of Ladoja included the lawmaker representing Oyo North Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Senator Fatai Buhari; former Secretary to the Oyo State Government (SSG), Alhaji Sharafadeen Alli and Honourable Bimbo Adepoju.

When contacted, the media aide to Ladoja, Mr Bashiru Latinwo confirmed the meeting.

He simply stated that “it is true that the APC caretaker committee chairman, governors of Jigawa, Kebbi and former Speaker, House of Representatives, Honourable Dimeji Bankole held a meeting with Senator Rashidi Ladoja today (Sunday) at his residence in Bodija.

"It was a closed-door meeting and they did not disclose the outcome of their parley with Ladoja to few journalists were waiting for them,” Latinwo added.
